I was recently given the chance to use and review AKVIS Oilpaint Software. This software takes your regular photos, and transforms them into an oilpainting, from the comfort of your own home. No waiting for long period of time for someone to create a painting for you.
I was skeptical at first, because oilpaintings take a lot of time, and creating one in a matter of minutes just didn't seem possible, but after seeing the sample painting, I was intrigued.
I downloaded the program for Windows 64-bit, and it is also available for Windows 32-bit. After downloading the program, I uploaded one of my favorite pictures of my daughter as a newborn...this is the original.
The program gives you many options, so as to make the painting your own...everything from brush stroke, to saturation...as you can see here, there are many different setting that you can adjust to make it just right. One of the things that I really liked, was that you could see the changes taking place, within the square that was overlaying the original photo.
After adjusting things until I was happy, this is what I created...
I absolutely LOVE the outcome, and plan to do one of my son, as well as one of my entire family. I highly suggest this software to anyone that likes photography, or just creating amazing things. The AKVIS Oilpaint software, comes as both a standalone program, as well as a Photoshop plug-in. If you want more information on this software, you can find it HERE, or you can watch the Tutorials.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
