NO...it is a dreaded word. To some, it is a sign of failure; for a child NO is mom is being mean, for an adult it can be anything from not having a job, or a house, or a car, or a relationship. But, what if we have all just been looking at the word NO, wrong?
Instead of thinking that everything has come to an end, simply because we have been told NO, why don't we look at it as the beginning of a goal?
In his book, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, YES. Gideon Amichay tells us how he took the word NO, and followed it through until he got a YES...a YES that would ultimately change his life.
In this book, Gideon focuses on how everyone is faced with the word NO, everyone. It is what we do with the word that determines where we will go next. He says "NO comma has great power. Every NO comma is a treasure. Every NO comma is a great opportunity to search for the next YES."
Because, NO comma, means that there is something else to say. NO comma, not at this time, NO comma, apply again soon. As a blogger and product reviewer, I am faced with it everyday. NO comma, we only had a few spots. NO comma, please apply for future promotions...Yet, out of all the NOs, I still get plenty of the emails that say YES.
Basically, don't give up after NO...Keep going until you get YES.
