Finally, a post about something food related! I am so excited for this one, even though it seems like it is something so basic...I love to cook, and a huge part of cooking, is seasoning your food (unless you are one of those people that just like bland food, or can eat seasonings for medical reasons). Learning to properly season your food, is not an easy task, but it is fun. I love the trial and error of creating a meal, and love experimenting with the seasons and spices that I use. In my house we are especially fond of cilantro, we love the lemony taste that it adds to our food, and the little known secret of its ability to increase appetite (which is necessary in my husbands case). So it was a pleasure to accept the invitation to test out this Jiva Organics Coriander (seed of the cilantro plant).
This coriander is excellent...it has a great lemony flavor (I chew on a few seeds to get the flavor, before adding it to my recipes), and it pairs well with all sorts of meats, salads, soups, and stews. I made a pot roast this evening, and threw in a handful of seeds, and it added a wonderful flavor to the meat and vegetables.
I am very impressed with this line of spices, and am planning to try more of the ones that they carry. I like that they are organic, so I am getting nothing but pure flavor. If you are a fan of cilantro/coriander, then you should try Jiva Organics Coriander Seeds . You can get them on Amazon for $5.95.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
