One of my favorite parts of the winter, is building a roaring fire. There is just something so comforting about a fire in the fireplace, but that also means that someone has to bring in the firewood. That alone can make some people change their minds about even building a fire, but thanks to this Astor Canvas Log Carrier, bringing in loads of firewood just became so much easier.
In an attempt to save money, my husband and I decided that we would only run the heater in our house, if were absolutely necessary. Instead we have been building a fire, which seems to be working well for us. Unfortunately, that also means that we have a lot of firewood duty ahead of us. Whether it is my husband chopping wood, or me bringing it in, firewood is the very unromantic aspect of a beautiful and warm roaring fire.
I had to give this carrier a try, and was pleased when it arrived. Upon taking it out of the box, I saw just how large it was...large enough to carry 8 big logs in at a time, without tearing. However, since our fireplace is not huge, we have to cut our logs smaller, so I have managed to bring it at least 15 logs at a time with ease.
The strong PVC lined canvas bag, has two continuous loop handles that wont come off, and is closed at the ends so the logs wont fall out. This log carrier takes all the hard work out of bringing in the firewood. I am beyond pleased with this bag, and love that it is heavy duty and will last for years to come.
It also is easy to store, because it folds flat. I currently fold it flat, then in half and it slides right up under my China Hutch. If you are a lover of a a beautiful roaring fire, or if you use your fireplace for heat like we do, then you have to get one of these Astor Heavyduty Canvas Log Carrier on Amazon for $9.75.
