You all know how much I love reading, and how important it is for my kids and I to read together. It is a bonding time for us, as well as a learning time...I treasure it!
That being said, when you read as much as we do, you go through LOTS of books, and usually find yourself re-reading the books in your house several times over.
This is why I love getting to children's books to review, and one series in particular is a favorite in our house. The Abigail series, by Tali Carmi, is a favorite of my daughter. She loves learning about all the new places that Abigail travels too, on her magical bike.
From the Sahara desert to the North Pole, my daughter has learned about the things that can be found in each new area.
In this newest addition, Abigail travels to a tropical island, where she meets a little girl name Lelei, and has to help her save her party!
As usual, my daughter loved the bright colors and illustrations, as well as how Abigail helped Lelei. The illustration of Lelei, depicts her in just a grass skirt, and no top, which really wasn't an issue for me or my daughter, as I have familiarized her with different cultures.
However, if this is something that bothers you, then be aware that it is a part of the book, illustration wise.
I think this is a cute book, that fits well with the rest of the series. If you want to read Abigail and the Tropical Island Adventure, you can find it on Amazon for $1
