There is nothing better, after a long day, than being able to sit down to watch a movie with my family. We pop popcorn, mix up a little chocolate milk for the kiddos, and cuddle up with a bunch of pillows and blankets. Sadly, it has become harder and harder to find family friendly movies, that we have not already seen. Which is why I was so thrilled to receive Grace of GOD on DVD.

Having lost his faith many years ago, Detective Bill Broadly is called to investigate the disappearance of the local church’s collection plate. As he questions its various church members, rumors swirl as more congregants learn about the theft. When one unexpected church-goer confesses to stealing the funds, the confession resurrects Broadly’s views on God, and helps him see that through faith and belief there really is rebirth and redemption.
Now, this movie is suggested for those 12+, however, my husband and I decided that given the context of the movie, and that it was family friendly, and based on the Ten Commandments, that it would be acceptable for our kids to watch with us. It is a decision that we are glad we made. My kids learned some great lessons, and when we discussed some of the key points later on, they were able to respond with true emotion. We talked about stealing, sticking up for others, and being honest. All in all, a great movie!
