Let's Go Back
You know, every time I write for this series, I mention how I wouldn't change anything that I have gone through, because it has all made me who I am today...and its true, I wouldn't change any of it.
However, that's not to say that I wouldn't like a little more time to do some of the things that I have done in my lifetime...I think most of us have felt that way, a time or two...or three.
So, for the sake of nostalgia...Let's Go Back...
Back to when naps were acceptable at 2 in the afternoon
Back to when we weren't the ones worrying about keeping the lights on (or turning them off, for that matter)
Back to when there was food on the table, and we weren't the ones worrying about putting it there.
Back to when our biggest concern was who was going to be on the cover of Tiger Beat, and what we would learn in the newest YM (Young Miss, for those of you that aren't THAT old)
Back to when Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy, were real (who am I kidding, they still are!)
Back to when it was safe to play all day, and our parents knew we would be home in time for dinner
Back to when we played outside, got dirty, and came home tired but happy.
Back to when kids weren't committing suicide, because of bullies.
Back to when we were still worried about crushes, first kisses, and hadn't even experienced our first broken heart.
Let's Go Back, to when we were young, times were simpler, and safer...because folks, I am tired. Tired of the hate, and the killing, and the worrying...I am tired, and I want to be a kid again. So, just this once, Let's Go Back...will you join me?
